This particular problem occurs when trying to access the Internet through a
proxy server that requires authentication without having BITS 1.5 or later
installed. The workaround is in fact to download and install KB842773
manually
(
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...545c-41f2-4c58
-aeac-783919ccfacf&DisplayLang=en). It sounds like your download was
incomplete or corrupted in transit. Can you please try downloading again?
Thanks.
