After testing multiple xppros in school site lab we concluded: XP2 is not a
"ready for primetime player" (And certainly not worth wasting a weekend on.
This is not an unusual MS move in their further aggression to take over the
computing world. "Like, Bill guy, why don't we release it as a Beta
(unannounced) encourage more automatic updates to put the fear and control of
God into the masses, and by the way blow out any 3rd party comp in the area
of round wheel utilities and security programs since it will make it much
easier to be compatible going forward." Chief Tech Off and Stan
"and p.s. fugedaboutit going forward with Netscape compat., we will just
make everyone mad and they will give it up, even as a back up when explorer
is non-browsy."
p.ps re antivirus not found by Symantec; try McAfee for some of the more off
the wall bugs; you can use it in trial when writing a New message in hotmail;
just click on McAfee logo and a trial version will download. I like Norton,
but I found 5 additional buggys with McAfee; no test done if McAfee finds
everything Norton does, and I still find Norton Internet firewall
indispensable.
