Keith,
Reboot to Safe Mode. If any drivers were installed during the updating,
suggest using the Roll Back driver function :
Right click My Computer on the Desktop or Start Menu, choose Properties.
Click the Hardware tab.
1. Start Device Manager.
2. Double-click the device for which you want to restore the driver.
3. Click the Driver tab, and then click the Roll Back Driver button.
