re: Updates for window 2000 (HP Vectra)

I've noted that of the 350 so updates, I've had only 6-7 fail. Question.
What do we do with that info. Can we go back and re-try? Some of them are
Security packs while some are .net frameworks stuff?

Since our operating system is now old. Should we consider going to an
upgrade to vista or other? Please advise.
