That should help another Vista user confirm your symptom for you
if it is a common problem. Cross-posting to Vista General.
BTW is it a mouse only issue? E.g. do you see all links in the Status bar
if you doubleclick a word near it and then tab to the link text or image?
A related test would be to use Mousekeys as an alternate driver
for your pointer... <eg>
