Just look at the onscreen message when you try and create a user with those
characters.
The message tells you Windows Server 2003 will replace the disallowed
characters in the User Logon Name (PRE WINDOWS 2000) name with underscores
(_)
So the solution to your problem is you can have you special characters in
the Windows 2003 login name just give the user a different User Logon Name
(PRE WINDOWS 2000) name.
