It looks like common mistake.

64bit executables are not in syswow64, but in system32.
( MS logic )

Short look to Process Explorer will show you
systeminfo from syswow64 is 32bit app.

I just found this issue on my machine also. I have the same thing in th
bios that you have. I have followed all suggestions I can find and stil
the same thing. If windows doesn't see it, I dont see how it could hav
anything to do with the program your are running. I would understand i
a 32bit program can only use 4gb. I want all 8 for as much as possible

This is annoying

I'm late coming to this thread, but if it's concerning the system
informatrion aplet reporting memory as stated in the subject, it's a bug in
the program. There is a lot of discussion on this topic on the web and a hot
fix is available. Basically if Task Manager etc. report all you memory (say
8 GB) then you are good to go.
