This probably should be asked in the SBS2008 group
Instructions to access this group can be found here http://www.sbs2008.com

However did you use the http://connect
to connect the PC to the domain?

However this issue does sound like a Corrupt profile
Login to the Local Account PC and retry the http://connect

(And post what happens in the SBS2008 newsgroup)

Well to be honest the Best thing you can do
is USE THE WIZARDS
if there is a wizard Don't do it manually
Doing it your own way is the easiest way to Break SBS2008
(easier to break SBS2008 than SBS2003 BTW)

I' re connect PC's using the wizards
http://connect
It does about 57 different settings
and could fix everything you need.
also make sure that all VISTA machines are "UP TO DATE" with all SP and
Patches

Have you done a Migration Before?
and Have you installed SBS2008 Before?

There are a LOT of things to consider..

Well there is turning back Technically (System State recovery)
However yes the Swing method is best for the beginner.
