I have never tried them until I saw your post last night and decided
to try solitaire. Started just fine but when I maximized it my
computer rebooted! When in again and tried it a second time and got
the same result! Very weird...

Sorry I don't have any suggestions for you though, but mine seem to
start just fine. I've tested Solitaire, Hearts, Minesweeper, Mahjong,
Freecell, Chess Titans, & Hold 'em and they start and play just fine.
Maybe your firewall or virus scanner is blocking them?
