You may have a conflict with one update.
Right after this happens
Go to the Control Panel, Programs and Features, then on the left "view installed updates"
and remove the latest dated updates (one at a time) until the problem goes away.
Then note that update and post back that information.
You can also set your updates to "download, but let me choose when to install".
Then when you get the notice that updates are ready to install, click on the icon and choose "let me review the updates"
This will give you a chance to pick and choose which updates you want to install.
It will take some time to ID and fix the problem, buy your computer may have a unique conflict with an update.
If Outlook is the problem, I would start with the Office updates.
You might also tell us more about your software, what version of Outlook do your have?
