This group is for Internet Explorer issues. I am cross posting to
microsoft.public.windows.vista.general. Be patient and continue to read and
learn in the ms groups. You will find Vista to be an excellent OS.

Uninstall the recent updates. Restart. If this solves your problem,
reinstall one at a time, testing as you go, until you find the culprit.
For future reference, do not automatically install updates. Choose the
option “Download updates for me, but let me choose when to install them”

What firewall, anti-virus application or security suite is installed? There
are some that cause problems which do not appear immediately.
