geepers, look here to disable auto-tuning, which is the new handy-dandy
feature of Vista's new TCP/IP stack:

if you try it, it would be nice if you report back on whether this works
for you
NOTE: not everybody has a problem with Vista and broadband because
people are connecting with different routers, etc.
