Hello

This is a known issue for XP to wipe out Vista's restore point
everytime XP starts. The tutorial below can help show you how to sto
this from happening

I'm happy to hear that you got it sorted. You should still be able to
access XP through Vista though. It's only XP that cannot see Vista, but
a 3rd hard drive as a bridge would be best as you suggested.
