I got this for Vista last week and you know what I did - reinstall. Longhorn
Server corrupted Vista, I tried copying over Winload.exe from system 32 in
LH Server to Vista system 32, but it didn't make a difference.

You could attempt repairing the install from the DVD but I doubtful it will
work.

Thanks for the idea Andre. I re-installed after reformatting and still got
to the same place in the process. Everything installs fine onto the logical
partition on the external hard drive but when it gets to "completing
installation", it reboots and the process starts all over. After the reboot,
when I click on any key to boot from the DVD, it begins the whole install
from the beginning but does not continue completing the installation.
Previous reboots, after clicking any key to reboot from the DVD, resumed the
installation process just fine.
attempting a repair from the install disk doesn't help. This is too much of
a guessing game at this point.
