Greetings Gino,
A number of issues could be causing this. Firstly, both you and her should make sure that
you're using the latest MSN Messenger (6.1) from:
http://messenger.msn.com/Download
Secondly, make sure both of you have gone through the Audio Tuning Wizard recently (click the
Tools menu in Messenger and choose Audio Tuning Wizard).
Thirdly, it may be that her connection is NAT'd (that is, the public IP address is shared
between more then one person). If it is, the voice conversation won't be able to be
established unless the NAT supports Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). If she's using some type
of router device or software to "share" internet access, depending on the type, it may be
possible to upgrade it to support UPnP. However, if it's her ISP that is NATing the
connection (quite common outside the US), there isn't much you can do. Although MSN Messenger
6.1 can get around some of these issues, it simply may not work.
