Hi, Tony;

Well, as I'm sure you know, anytime you click a mouse button or hit a key on
the keyboard "something" happens, even if it doesn't show on the screen. <g>
Assuming the system isn't totally locked up, of course, which doesn't sound
like the case here.

First and foremost, it is best you ask this in a NG that specializes in
Windows 2000 Server issues. I'd suggest the Newsgroup
"microsoft.public.win2000.advanced_server" or
"microsoft.public.windows.server.general" on the MS free and public news
server msnews.microsoft.com

OTOH, if you mean that an XP SP2 client logged into a Windows 2000 Server is
seeing this behavior after installing SP2, then you may want to bring this
to the no-cost support MS folks at
http://support.microsoft.com/default...doffer80&sd=GN

Hi

Thanks for your help and for having replied to my email. I will try the NG
given and see if I have any luck.

PS: the problem arose when I was installing SP4 and had a power failure. I
have since tried to reinstall SP4 but the system says that it is up to date.
This seems to be the only noticeable problem with the system.

Thanks
Tony
