Ah but the front end is intentional made that way. The interior however is
much improved. Many Vista drivers are not healthy for 7. You need to search
for 7 drivers to make it run smoothly and they are coming very fast
An example: I installed a new Audio Card because the old on board audio was
not going to be supported. The manufacturer told me so. It took me an hour
to install a driver that made the audio work. And that was from the
manufacturer's web site. 7 just did not want to accept the driver. Three
hours later I got an update message that there was/is now a 7 driver for the
Audio card.
Same was true for the new monitor I got.
The advice is check at least every day for driver updates from the
manufacturers as there has been such a clamor for installation of 7
everywhere that they are rushing to come out with driver updates. Even Msoft
is doing it.
This is very different from all of Msotft's previous experience in the
marketplace.
Competition is a wonderful thing. Wit Gates going or already gone Ballmer
has to reinvent the company and e are the winners. No longer it is what they
want but what the customer wants.
While I used XP all of its time and never updated to vista I installed 7 the
day it became available (October 22nd) and it was not the smooth sailing
everyone said it would be but the look and feel has been very nice.
Little by little it is getting into shape although there have been a few
gliches I am up and running and all of my programs are as well.
I wish you well and I forgot your point for which I apologize but I've been
wanting to say all this for a bit now.
I am upset on one score and that is the attempt to make newsgroups obsolete
and forcing us to go to web forums run by the manufacturers rather than the
guys and gals who are the experts. Hopefully there will be more specialized
newsgroups set up rather than having to get canned responses from the
producers.
