Since you have a Dish DVR there is absolutely no requirement to also have a
cable box in fact there is no way to fit it into your configuration and have
it do anything.
I have no idea why you had to restore Drive C
He connected the 480i SD NTSC standard coax output connection from the Dish
DVR to the analog antenna/cable input connector on your MC PC's Tuner.
The DVR is set to output over either channel 3 or 4 so you just set the
analog tuner on your PC to watch channel 3 or 4 as appropriate.
