Hi Chris,

Yes, MS has removed the backup and restore feature. Therefore you will need
to look out for 3rd party software. Sprite Backup the most popular backup
software should make one available soon. Keep an eye on their site --

One big change in WM 5.0 is that it has persistent memory storage so note
that loss of battery power will not erase your data on the device.

have a backup manager that works with WM5, not yet had the guts to try
restoring from a backup yet though. It is cheaper than Sprite.
