Re; Windows repair errors

I have been trying to fix some errors encountered with several
programs running under Vista SP2.
Errors:
Paperport v11.1 fails during a repair with error 1721. During
a repair of Paperport v11.1 I got an installer error 1721 and the
repair had to be canceled. Does anyone know how to fix this problem.
Problems appeared when trying to drag a scanned document to the email
link at the bottom of the screen. the system just froze and I had to
use task manager to kill the job.

Word2007 fails during a repair with a message:

When I tried a repair it sent me to
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates looking for a
file that was not there and said I did not have sufficient privileges.
I am logged on as administrator.

I tested several registry repair programs but nothing worked and I am
now back to the original registry before the repair programs were
tried.

Any help in solving this would be appreciated.
