Re: Windows Update never stops scanning...

Appears to be a sporadic probem that isnt affecting all computers. I had
to turn off Auto updates as it would make the computer CPU continually run
at nearly 100% and eating memory like crazy. Was sure i had a virus but it
was just MS.

When i went to Windows Update it would just sit there and scan forever. I
renamed the "softwaredownload" folder under Windows directory and then was
able to download updates again.

Appears MS is aware of the problem but they want you to call in and pay for
the fix. NOT! Thats just what i want to do, spend hours on the phone to MS
and get to pay for a fix that they likely caused. Last time I paid MS for
support they did nothing and I eventually figured out my probem, but I got
to pay them anyway. NICE!
