Thats what I was saying in the thread, my issues was because of a group
policy after I joined the domain. Does your IT department have a WSUS server
or disable end users from installing windows update? If so this why you get
the error. They either need to look at a policy configured for no Windows
updates either in your OU or the default domain group policy.
I they create a test OU and move your account in it and you still have the
problem then the policy is coming from a group policy at the domain level.
