1. Search and download each update you need from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/s...displaylang=en
and not via Windows Update and try to install one at a time,
rebooting your puter after each install.
As to your other problem, this has nothing to do with updates. Check
with your provider to find out why you are cut off after 30 min. or
so. You have a fix IP number, so IP renewal problems can be ruled
out.
