Creating a "recovery disc" with all the drivers etc. slipstreamed would be a
bit of an effort.

As it is, get one from the computer's manufacturer.

Otherwise, download from the manufacturer's website and burn to DVD-r all
the drivers for the particular computer model.

Obtain a legitimate copy of Windows.

Install Windows and any needed drivers.

Run Windows Update. Install and configure everything else.

If you install Windows Vista Ultimate make an image of the whole computer.
'Else use 3rd party software to make an image e.g. Norton Ghost or Acronis.

Then, should the need arise, you can easily restore your computer and be up
and running in under an hour - everything already configured - rather than
putting in hours and hours of effort.
