A while ago someone posted the same question about his Media Center edition.
Someone else (obviously!) responded that Microsoft wanted a uniform opening
for all versions of XP.

BTW, have you noticed that Home Edition now uses blue "thermometer beads"
(or whatever they're called) instead of green?
