It is Windows Live Mail, not OE that is having the problem.

I have several storage folders I created for messages from family, friends,
work etc.

The message just says:
Message cannot be found
The contents of this message cannot be found.

Your post was made with Windows Live Mail, the successor to Outlook Express.
As you probably know, OE will not run at all in Vista or Win7 (except in XP
Mode in Win7 Pro or Ultimate).
