Thanks to all who offered solutions. However I feel they are a bit too
cumbersome for everyday use for the average user. Ideally WLM should present
the user with 'Remove Attachment' options when the attachment is selected
with the right mouse botton. There is already a 'Remove' Option presented but
it is greyed out !

Hello Uinseann

The 'Add' and 'Remove' context menu option available when rat clicking an attachment in a message window is for use when creating the message, not reading a previously sent or received message.
i.e.
- add(attach) additional files and/or remove(unattached) existing attached files
- not greyed out when used for its design intent purpose

Even though a mouse is a rodent...a typo correction would appear to be in order
