Yeah.. first thing you need to do is update this WSUS server to the latest

This is caused by one of three things:

1. The update are declined, and you're not looking at declined updates.

2. The updates are in an update classification (or product category) you're
not synchronizing.

3. Problems continue as a result of trashing the tempdb earlier.

No great surprise if the database or database service has been trashed.

This would keep clients from *installing* the updates; but wouldn't keep
them from appearing in the updates list of the console.

Okay.. either a transient problem that can be ignored; or something to keep
a watch on.

At least one isn't . . . KB976325; so if that update is missing from your
server (Release Date: 12/8/2009), then I'd be highly suspect of the
integrity of your WSUS database.
