Because that documentation is for the /CURRENT/ production version!

That notice was about /SUS/, not to be confused with /WSUS/ v2.0 (the
current production version), or WSUS v3 /beta/, which you have installed.
Get the /BETA/ documentation for use with the /BETA/ product,
and post any questions in the beta newsgroup accessible from the
instructions on the MSConnect website.
