Because there is no Symantec product for Home Users that is compatible
with Windows. You can prove it by uninstalling NAV, rebooting, run the
Norton Removal Tool, and reboot once more.

Replace NAV with a reliable, trustworthy AV that is compatible with
Windows. Antivir, Avast, and Microsoft Security Essentials are free and
are Windows compatible.
