I have word and Exel stored in my SD. When I double click on these files,
what I get is the property page of the file. How can I read and edit these
files using my pc while the PDA is on the cradle. Thanks.

You can't. They need to be run through the ActiveSync converter before
Excel will be willing to use them on the PC (and back before Pocket Excel
will).

Drag a copy to the PC then open it.

Don't know why this still has to be so difficult as opposed to pword
files...

Open the file on the ppc

tap tools

tap file

tap save workbook as

select 97/2000 workbook

Note... it gets confusing in the file menu since file extensions are not
visible... you will have two files with the same name in the same
folder, so be careful to delete or isolate the original.

Further... you can originate excel files on the pc and copy them
directly to the sd card using a card reader to retain their cross
platform functionality.
