Read Only Access

Good morning

I have an issue with some of my users getting Read Only access to files on
the file server. I have allowed them full control in the Sharing tab. If
the open a file the title bar shows {Read Only], but will allow then to use
Save As... The server is w2k and the workstation are XP SP3

IIRC, when accessing files through a share, the most restrictive
permissions are given. If the user has full control through the
sharing tab, then the NTFS permissions must be restricting them. Check
the NTFS permissions on the file (server side) and adjust accordingly.
This would include any group membership the user may have that have
NTFS permissions on the file/folder...
