Since I bought a new Vista Lap Top a week ago Saturday I've noticed
when I go to a Google Group and open up a post it doesn't show it has
been opened. It stays dark blue. Therefore it is hard to tell which
msg's I've read or haven't read. Does anyone know why or how I can
correct this? Someone told me to go to Tools in my mailbox and change
the setting there, but that is not the right place to do it. Done
been there and checked it out.
Thanks
Swampy

Works the same here. I don't think this is a Vista issue.

Apparently this is one of the ways Google Groups works. Google Groups isn't
the best way to access newsgroups. Unless you are constrained by
limitations at your office, consider setting up a real newsreader to access
Usenet instead. This is very simple, more efficient, and in some newsgroups
many people won't even answer questions posted via Google Groups. Here is
some information to help you:

You will get far more out of this resource if you learn to use a newsreader.
There are many good newsreaders for Windows, but you can use Outlook
Express (XP) or Windows Mail (Vista) since you already have it. Here are
