In past windows would instantly recognize disc and open. I can hear drive
after disc is inserted but, no images. Inserted DVD and audio cd. Both played
perfectly.
Someone at Gateway suggested checking upper and lower filters in ms config.
Is this software or hardware problem?
Thanks
Kevin

How does this pertain to Windows Update, Kevin?

Please state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP1) when
posting to this newsgroup.

And did the someone at Gateway tell you how to check the upper and lower
filters or did they tell you to post to the Windows Update Newsgroup and not
tell anyone what your OS is etc?

Autoplay Repair Wizard

or

The Microsoft AutoPlay Repair Wizard scans your computer devices to find
defective AutoPlay settings, and attempts to fix those it finds.
Supported Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003, Windows XP

Why doesn't AutoPlay work?
