Ready for SP2? or not?

I've got my other computer up and running again. I'd like to install XP
Home SP2 update. WIndows XP Home came pre-installed. Is don't have an
installation disk just for XP. I have OEM recovery disks, and an
application recovery disk.

What should I do when SP2 asks for the original installation media? Or is
there a pre-installed file that will let SP2 do it's business?

System stated in use:
Win XP Pro SP2 MCE 2005
Win XP Home SP2

and more recently : (I'm using XP SP2).

As you have already got two systems (possibly 3) with SP2 installed and have
received numerous advice regarding installing SP2, suggest you refer to the
many previous responses you have already received or contact the manufacturer
regarding the installation of SP2 on this particular system you are
mentioning in this post.

Geez! :-(

I've got three machines. Each is different. The machine I'm trying to
install SP2 on is a Sony Vaio. WGA reported that XP was invalid on it. XP
is not invalid on it and I have proof. I've got the machine working again,
and have installed all the post SP1 updates possible.

I want to run SP2. And I'm afraid of ruining all the hard work I've done on
it to date.

Thank you, Gordon. I reviewed it carefully, and proceeded to install SP2.
Success! I'm sure glad not everybody around here is snippy. ;-)
