When I first installed my HP model c450w 4GB Readyboost USB drive, it worked
great. I tested startup times with (1 min. 30 sec.) vs. without (2 min. 20
sec.) twice and got the same results both trials. Two weeks later I tested it
again and now there is no difference in startup times - 2 min. 20 sec. with
or without. I can see the ReadyBoost cache file installed in the USB drive,
but it does not kick in until about 30 seconds after startup is finished (all
display Icons, calendar, etc. visible) when I finally notice the USB drive
LED start flashing. I used System Restore to go back to my manual restore
point created after ReadyBoost installation, but it still took 2 min. 20 sec.
to boot. Is there a way to get ReadyBoost to run during startup as it did at
first? OS is Vista Ultimate 64-bit.
