Is it ok to leave the readyboost flashdrive on the usb socket when i turn
off, sleep, hibernate my computer? How do check if the readyboost flashdrive
is really working?

I leave my flash drive in all of the time. If you watch it while booting
you should see it flashing thus indicating that it is working.
