Hi.

I have a new laptop with a hybrid drive and with Vista Ultimate. The drive
still seems to spin a lot, so I thought I would look to see if everything
was set up/enabled correctly. There is really very little on the subject.
The closet I got was a link describing enabling/disabling different parts of
it under Group Policy.

I loaded the snap-in for group policy, and went to the correct policies.
They were not configured, but in the GPO Editor, when you click on any of
the properties, you see a message that says, "Note, this policy is
applicable only if NV Cache feature is on."

Anyone have any idea on how to determine if the NV Cache feature is on? I
looked in BIOS, and all sorts of control panels, but found nothing. The
Dell guy said it was just plain on, and there is no place which displays the
fact. I'm starting to believe him.
