Let me Clarify:
It gives me the 'unknown error' message when I try to read the e-mails
after dragging that folder into the WLM 11 main window on the left pane
(where the Inbox, Deleted, Drafts, Sent folders are.
When I go through the 'Import' option and try to import messages from a
backup folder I get a message that says: "no messages can be found in the
folder. It is in use by another program. Please close that program etc."
MAKES NO SENSE !!! What program are they talking about?

It imports the folders but I get that same old "Unknown Error" when I try to
open the e-mails! I don't believe that is addressed in the 'solutions
center.'

Worked fine here on three different pc's (Vista Sp2, Win7 HP, Win7Pro) on
all private and public betas (6) and both RTW versions of 2011 when
upgrading from 2009 to 2011 Gold/QFE1 /QFE2 or 2011 Gold/QFE1 to 2011 QFE2.
Instructions for importing properly are available in the Windows Live
Solution Center.

I can’t believe what a piece of S...T WLM is! Try importing messages from a
backup folder. You have to DRAG the ALL the EML files into a new folder (or
folders) in the main e-mail program. The ‘import’ feature is useless.
When they did the latest ‘upgrade’ they put my subfolders into a cryptic
imported folder called: “imported fo 2DB.” What the f—k is that? Is this
supposed to be user friendly, or something. Who the hell would know to look
there to find hundreds of e-mails that were originally showing up in the
main subfolder?
After spending hours and hours reconstituting this junk program, I finally
got the subfolders back...but wouldn’t you know: NONE OF THE E-MAILS WOULD
OPEN! I had to recrerate the folders and then drag the EML files back in.
Totally unconscionable programming!
