The reason is that if everyone went with Ubuntu, all the geeks here
would no longer have the clean-windows-of-malware fat cow to live off.

An entire new linux industry would spring up instead.
There will always be an industry such as this.

I personally have never needed to hire anyone.

LOL, you can clean out all of your malware yourself. You must be proud!

Many of us users never get it.
Don't believe the hype.

Even my kids Vista laptop never gets it....and I hate to think where he goes
on that thing !

If you mean removing malware from Linux machines as an industry, you
obviously don't know what you're talking about.

If you mean you've never hired anyone to clean your computer, one would
assume you know how to do that yourself.

Both of you are probably infected and are part of a herd bot and don't
even know it.

Installing Ubuntu is a hobby very similar to fishing, you catch a fish and
admire it for a while then let it go in the water.
You install a distro and tweak it,play around for a while then discard it
and install the next one in 6 mths. But very interesting hobby than using
Vista because its free( even Vista is free because it was included with the
purchases of a laptop or pc) and very innovative.

Now we know what you do with Ubuntu. You waste your time due to boredom
and not having anything else to do.
