I really like my vista

Just wanted to say I really like my vista.
Since I have installed it, all my hardware works. No crashes, no problems at
all.
Just wanted to let people know there are thousands and thousands of us who
use Vista every day and have little if any problems at all with it. The only
trick to any OS is making sure you have the correct drivers for what ever OS
you are running. If you do that you will have no problems at all.

I'm sure that usual trolls will now attack.

ok good for you

but the way you posted your post is like its trying to bait people in a
flamewar
if vista is good or not. Why are you doing that sort of thing?
So who is the troll?

I'll second that. Running fine here also on 2 different machines, and
in VPC at work.

Yup.

You over simplify. Surprise, in general, I like Vista too. It simply
wasn't ready for public release. The likeliness of encountering
problems rises once you include more robust tasks. Many, I dare say
most of the fanboy crowd use their computer to only read email, surf
the web, play games and maybe once in a while work on some document or
spreadsheet. Heck, why shouldn't Vista work under those conditions
when it is loafing along? The harder you push Vista the more likely
you'll run into issues. That has been Microsoft's legacy from the
beginning.

You don't need to add a single driver to copy/move or delete a file.
Explain why so many people have reported how slow Vista is doing this
simple task and why many MVPs admit they have given up on Windows
Shell and use something else.

I'll be here waiting for a reply.

Good to see a positive, instead of negatives!

I just created a folder on a local drive and a folder on a network share.
Copied 20 music albums to both locations in about 90 seconds.
Deleted both folders with no delays at all.
So it seems to work fine for me. Don't know what others are doing all I can
do is speak for what my hands-on experience tells me.

The so-called "trolls" are typically WAY smarter than the fanboy
crowd.

You want me to say something nice about Vista?

Damn pretty packaging it comes in!

I've already been down this road with "Adam Albright". For relatively
small amounts of data, it works fine. When you get to larger amounts
(5 or 7 or 10 Gig) Vista is slightly slower than, say, OS X copying the
same stuff on the same hardware. Also, the "time remaining" thing does
*not* pop up "instantly". In my case it always took around 7 seconds.

To "Adam Albright", this means that Vista is "seriously broken". I
suppose if your job is to sit around and copy huge amounts of data
across networks all day long, it could be an issue.

Otherwise, it's just something for the "Adam Albrights" of the world to
complain about.

So why is the "It doesn't work for me" excuse valid?
