This is an intermittent problem that I can't get a handle on or understand.
It problem and rebooting always happens when signing into Windows Messenger
Live, but not everytime I sign in. Basically after turning off the automatic
reboot, I get a message that is basically as follows: Window has encountered
a proble and needs to shut down. then it says that it is beginning dump of
physical memory, then physical memory dump complete. then Disable bios memory
options such as Cashing or shadowing? No idea why this just showed up. then
there is a stop message which I have no idea what it means as follows:
Stop: Ox0000005,Ox8057e811,OxB706AF0,Ox00000000. This morning I got the same
stop message except that the third set of digits changed to OxB9483AF0. I
have a pentium 4 at 2.8ghz, 1377GB free HD, and 1024 memory.

Hello,

it is possible that the Messenger folder sharing services is causing the
bluescreen. You could try disabling it: Start -> Run ->
services.msc ->Messenger Sharing Folders USN Journal Reader service . I'm
not sure if it's the cause, but you could give it a try.

Hope this helps you.
Greetings,

Thanks for the response and help. This did not work. Specifically, I receive
a note as follows:Could not stop the Messengers sharing folders USN journal
reader on local computer. The service did not return an error. This could be
an internal Windows error or an internal services error. If it continues, see
your administrator. Unfortunately I am the administrator.

Hello,

what if you try exiting Live Messenger first, and then disabling the
service? It should work then.

Greetings,
