Because of the overloaded Microsoft servers it can be hard to get a valid
key. To get a valid key the fastest just follow these simple step. Thanks to
scaramonga.

Step 1 : Logon to http://technet.microsoft.com (click on Sign in in the
upper right corner with your Microsoft Passport ID ie: Hotmail etc.)

Step 2 : Copy (Don't CLICK IT!) one of the links below to the address bar
and press enter :

32-Bit key :
Code: Select all
https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperi...2-ww&LCID=1033

(Copy and Paste!)

64-bit key :
Code: Select all
https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperi...4-ww&LCID=1033

(Copy and Paste!)

Tip : You can use the 64-bit during a 32-bit installation and a 32-bit key
during a 64-bit installation (it seems that getting a 64-bit key is faster!)

Step 3 : If you receive an error, just press CTRL & F5 (non cache load) to
refresh (I had to refresh more than 10 times before I received the key), if
you're being redirected then you didn't follow the steps 1 and 2 correctly!

If you followed the steps correct you should see your key (depending on your
version it could also say Windows 7 Beta 32-bit Product Key

Enjoy!

Hi Steve

They are giving out the same 10 keys to everyone. Keep refreshing an
you will get 5 for 32bit and 5 for 64 bit. Everybody gets the same ones

As you say, they are not bit specific. i.e you can use one labelled a
32bit on 64bit install - all will activate fine

I believe they must have abandoned the 2.5 million limit

Hope it help

I know many of you have had issues with the Windows 7 Beta site over the
last 24 hours. As you may have noticed the download site has been up and
running smoothly since this morning. That said, we apologize for the
inconvenience that it caused some of you.

Due to an enormous surge in demand, the download experience was not
ideal so we listened and took the necessary steps to ensure a good
experience. We have clearly heard that many of you want to check out the
Windows 7 Beta and, as a result, we have decided remove the initial 2.5
million limit on the public beta for the next two weeks (thru January
24th). During that time you will have access to the beta even if the
download number exceeds the 2.5 million unit limit.

Thank you for your enthusiasm, interest and willingness to beta test. It
has been great to see the positive early reviews and feedback. As you
know, this is a beta product. We are working hard to get Windows 7 ready
and right. Your input is a critical part of that process. Thank you!
