I've had to switch off automatic updates because the recent set makes my
works calendar unable to open. Has anyone else had that problem? Does
anyone know a solution?

Outlook express won't open e-mails and will not let me reply with these last
updates. I'm leaving updates on in case Microsoft find the problema nd fix it.

Problems in Windows Explorer or the Windows shell after you install
security update MS06-015 (15 Apr-06)
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/918165

Microsoft Security Bulletin MS06-015
Vulnerability in Windows Explorer Could Allow Remote Code Execution
(908531)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../ms06-015.mspx has
been revised to v1.2 to reflect the issues in KB918165.
From the FAQ section:
"On Tuesday, April 25, Microsoft will issue a targeted re-release of
the MS06-015 update."

Now may not be the time to learn Regedit.
I suggest you use a .reg file already done for the purpose.

http://patch-info.de/WinXP/Downloads...are-To-Web.zip

Unzip it, extract the .reg file to a folder, right-click it and select
Merge and confirm when asked.

OK. I am not an OE expert so I suggest you try an OE group.
You might read these first in case they are relevant:

Uninstall Outlook Express Patch 911567 (April 11, 2006) to restore
unsent message functionality
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#14

Microsoft patch 'erases' Outlook Express addresses

Fred Hegner wrote,

After receiving MSN Automatic updates KB908531, KB911562, and KB912812 it
was not possible to save Word 2003 files in the usual directory and I can not
find the individual saved word files in the directory. Also seem to have
problem printing with my HP printer. Note the comment about a fix to be
released on April 25.Could that help?

This is my first time coming into this site and making comments, so bear with
me. Noticed some complicated comments about the KB908531 update that sound
complicated. I was unable to navigate on the web after these updates until I
restored my system, but kept getting the updates will install dialog box
until I turned off the auto updates and went to the update site. THE ABOVE
KB908531 WAS LISTED AS AN OPYIONAL AND WHEN I CHECKED IT OUT, FOUND IT IS
INTENDED FOR THE IE7Beta WHICH I DON'T HAVE AND I THINK IS NOT YET READY FOR
RELEASE. In other words, an IE7 update is being installed to earlier
versions and screwing things up. Leaving auto update off for now until they
straighten this out.
