Interesting with MS08-014 & MS08-016 is that the non-affected software lists
includes Office 2003 with SP3 (and I have SP3 on my PC) and yet it wanted to
install the updates when I checked for updates at Microsoft Update.

Using Internet Explorer, go here and see if the Office Update page shows
the updates as needed:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/do...incatalog.aspx

The updates are specifically intended for Microsoft Office Excel Viewer
2003 Service Pack 3, Microsoft Office Excel Viewer 2003, and Microsoft
Office 2003 Service Pack 2.
Other than that ... I do not understand why Office 2003 SP3 is listed as
non-affected unless Excel is not vulnerable but running the Excel Viewer
is, Gis.
