"Recent" short cut doesnt work anymore

I have copied my files to and from a local user and a domain user. In the
process the Recent icon that sits in the Links folder no longer works. I
have tried creating a shortcut from the actual Recent folder but that doesnt
work either. Is there a way to reset this?

You clear Recent when you clear IE History.
IE, Tools, "Delete Browser History", "Delete History" button
