Hi,

Can anyone point me to a definitive MS answer on the knowledge base or
MSDN or anywhere concerning how to reclaim disk space taken up by
Windows update files?
I have about 2 GB of files in hidden folders (eg $NtUninstallKB810217$)
inside my Windows folder that I would like to get rid of if poss.

Thanks,
SW

Go for it !

Just examine the dats of each folder. Anything older than a few weeks delete.
Keep the recent ones just in case the associated updates have to be uninstalled.

You can delete all the folders starting with $NTUninstall***** - just DO NOT
delete the folder $hf_mig$
