I can't seem to get my pc to record via mic. Let alone work. What's he
problem? My pc says my mic is not recognized.

It is better if your mic is digital. I presume it is plugged in the right
jack.

Control Panel>>Hardware and Sound>> Sound>> Manage Audio
Devices>>Recording>>Place the cursor on the microphone is question,
highlight it, Press Set as Default>> Configure>> Set up Microphone>> Make a
selection (Desktop vs. Headphone)>> Next>>Dictate into the mic.
