Record TV at a particular time?

Is there any way to set Windows Media Center to record TV from a
particular start time to a particular stop time, when these are not part
of the normal scheduled programming in the Guide? (Any VCR can be set
to record at a particular time--how about Windows Media Center?)

I often want to record special events like a space launch, which
obviously don't appear in the Guide but for which I know the start time
of the event.

Yes, you can setup a Manual recording in Media Center.

Here is some instruction on how to do that.

Ah! So that's where they hid that feature! :-)

Thank you, that's just what I wanted.
