Recover Deleted Exchange mailbox

Hey!

I am running SBS 2003 but not R2.

I deleted a user account an later found out that the user had email that the
company needs from the users exchange mailbox. I checked the mailbox store
under mailboxes and the old mail box still shows up on the list but is
disconnected. The right mouse click allows me to select an option to
reconnect it to a user but I can't make that work. Searching under users and
other objects, it won't find what I am searching for. However when I type
Administrator, the Administrator template shows up on my list of objects I
can reconnect the mail box to.

What will happen if I connect it to the administrators template?

How can I recover that users mail box or the email in it? Is there a time
limit on how long that mail box will remain in the mail box list?

Please advise...

create a dummy AD account with no mailbox...reconnect that mailbox to that
account...logon with that account, access the mailbox, and get what you
need...

I can't get your idea to work for me...

Is there a way to convert an OST file to a PST file with outlook 2003? I
have the OST file intact.

Also, how can I import a successfully exported .PST file from Exmerge.exe
into an outlook mail box?

Can you open the mailbox offline with Outlook 2003? If so, simply open
it and then copy to a new pst. If not, you''ll have to purchase 3rd
party software.

As you have the ost file, convert ost to pst file to recover ost file components the resulting PSt file can directly accessed with MS Outlook. Third Party OST to PST conversion tools such as Stellar Phoenix Convert OST PST are available, that is especially designed to convert an inaccessible ost file ot accessible pst file

to get the content from ost file you need to convert ost to pst file and then import the resulting PST file in Outlook.
